Review: Lancôme Kohl in Love in Deep Water Blue from Lancôme in Love Spring 2013 collection - to get rid of Monday Blues

Hello Everyone

Hope you all are happy and healthy.

Blue seem to be the color of the season this Spring/ Summer. Every makeup collection has some or the other product in blue shade.

Lancôme launched its Spring collection in India a few days back and it had a beautiful blue kohl in its collection. I was eyeing this kohl ever since the collection was launched in USA and saw its swatches on a few American blogs. Also, read some rave reviews of these kohls and of this particular shade. So, as soon as this collection was launched in India, I went ahead and bought this kohl in love in Deep Water Blue - a beautiful deep blue shade with no shimmer or glitter.

The formula of these kohls is very creamy and alike gel liner and hence it's applications is very smooth and doesn't tug or drag on eye lids leaving behind a trail of vibrant blue line. On the water line also it applies very easily and in one stroke it gives the full load of pigment. It sets within a few seconds and doesn't smudge or move from its place and last quite long on the water line. True to all the claims made by the company - smooth, highly pigmented and long wearing. The packaging is very cute, white pencil with floral blue design.

You can wear this color on its own on the lash line or in the water line for a pop of color or smudge it under the lower lashline. However, you use it, it will immediately perk up your mood and add vibrancy to the look, especially on Monday mornings when you need that kick to get out of your Monday Blues.

Price: INR 1000/-

Here are the pictures of the product and a couple of looks I created using this blue kohl, that are quite apt for the season.

In the first look I have used it on my upper lash line. I applied the first coat and smoothened it using an angled brush and then applied the second coat and winged it out.

Deep Water Blue in the water liner - Can you see the pigmentation, this is with just two swipes
I hope you all liked the kohl and found the review helpful. Have you tried anything from this collection? Which is your favorite product from the collection? Do share with me in the comments below.

Have a lovely week ahead.

Lots of love
